Designer, painter, poet and activist William Morris (1834-1896) is still famous today
for his timeless textile patterns. His goal was to bring art to everyday life. Unequaled
as a designer of patterns for wallpaper and fabric, Morris created more than 150 patterns
noted for their precise observation of nature -- especially foliage and flowers.
Victorian colors of mauve, blue, beige, teal, pumpkin and olive add to the historic heritage
of these fabrics.
All fabric is 44-45" wide and 100% cotton.

Morris Apprentice
By Barbara Brackman from Moda
Morris Apprentice, a new reproduction William Morris collection, is based on designs by John Henry Dearle, who became head designer in the 1890s and art director after Morris died in 1896. Morris, even after his death, often got credit for Dearle's designs.
